We recognize that many ASU graduates would like to continue to use the library’s collections and services after their student privileges expire upon graduation.
Accessing online resources
Online resources: Alumni visiting campus may be able to access many online resources using their own laptop or mobile device using the ASU Guest network (see more Visitor Information). Unfortunately remote access to most electronic research resources is limited by license to current students, faculty, and staff of Arizona State University, with the exceptions below.
Physical resources: If the alumnus is a community card holder, they are able to check materials out from the library. Community Card holders may check out books by placing a request online using this form. When the item is delivered to the designated pick up location, the community card holder will be notified by email.
Information on ASURITE accounts and computing services for alumni can be found at UTO Help Center.
Databases open to ASU Alumni
ASU Alumni have on- and off-campus access to three online academic research databases through ASU Library:
- Sage Research Methods - A web-based research methods tool to help researchers, faculty and students with research projects. Researchers can explore methods to help them construct research projects, and understand various methods. This database focuses on methodology and is useful for all disciplines. Due to license restrictions, Sage Research Methods Videos are not available to Alumni.
- Sage Knowledge - SAGE Knowledge is a social sciences digital library that includes scholarly monographs, reference works, handbooks, series, professional development titles, and more.
- Sage Journals - SAGE Premier includes journals in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology and Medicine, providing online access to the full text of individual SAGE journals.
ASU degreed alumni must authenticate with their ASURITE ID and password to access these resources. If you had an ASURITE as a student or graduated in 1980 or later and need one created, please contact the University Technology Experience Center. If you graduated before 1980 and need an ASURITE ID created, please contact alumni@asu.edu.
