ASU Library is a single library with multiple locations. The Map and Geospatial Hub is thus pleased to be offering some of its geospatial workshop offerings at ASU Library's downtown Phoenix location.
The Spring 2018 workshop and event lineup will include at least two (2) introduction to GIS workshops, one using ArcGIS Desktop and the other using open source QGIS software:
- Introduction to ArcGIS Desktop | Friday, Feb 9 | 5-7pm
- Introduction to Open Source GIS Using QGIS | Friday, Feb 16 | 5-7pm
Students and researchers from the ASU's downtown-based colleges and schools will find these workshops to be particularly convenient to attend:
- College of Public Service and Community Solutions
- Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication
- College of Health Solutions
- College of Nursing and Health Innovation
- College of Integrative Sciences and Arts
As with all our short, hands-on geospatial proficiency and cartographic literacy workshops, though, the entire ASU community -- whatever your home campus -- is welcome to attend!

Happy mapping, Sun Devils!
